About Emily

Emily Rudolph received her B.A. from DePauw University and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Raised in Wisconsin, she currently lives and works along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Rudolph is a 2D multimedia artist who creates mixed-media drawings and paintings using gel pens, markers, acrylic paint, and ink. Her practice centers on pattern, color, and repetition, exploring their connections to obsession, process, and memory. Through labor-intensive mark making, she builds dense, layered surfaces that invite slow looking and sustained attention.

Her work is held in both private and public collections, including the UW Health Eastpark Medical Center, and has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the Midwest. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches art in Wisconsin.
