About

Emily Rudolph is a contemporary painter based on the shores of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. She creates vibrant floral paintings that celebrate color, pattern, and the simple beauty of everyday life.

Using layers of acrylic paint, paint markers, and mixed media, Emily builds each painting through thousands of individual marks. The repetitive process creates richly textured surfaces that reward slow looking, revealing new patterns, colors, and details over time.

Inspired by gardens, treasured objects, and the feeling of home, her work is an invitation to pause, notice beauty, and experience a sense of joy and abundance.

Emily earned her B.A. in Studio Art from DePauw University and her M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Midwest and is held in private and public collections, including UW Health Eastpark Medical Center.

The Vase Collection
These original hand-painted vases were created for my wedding celebration and became the inspiration for my continuing floral painting series.
